Funkafie your oil paintings!
- Friday April 20 • 6-8pm (DEMO)
- Saturday April 21 • 10am-4pm (Workshop)
People often get hung up on what to paint, then they want to make it look “real”... Tapping into creativity doesn’t have any rules... it is an individual process that requires a personal journey / exploration. There are many ways to kickstart (if you will) this magic! We will do a number of fun exercises getting you loosened up and not afraid of the oil medium. Angela will show you how to love oil painting, how to be creative and make art that you and others love.
A one-day-way to funkafie your paintings.
Angela Morgan (nee Harlton) lives and works in Fernie, B.C.
The completion of her Bachelor in fine arts degree (BFA) in April of 2000 ended a ten year stretch of university education. Angela attended Bismarck State College in North Dakota, Concordia University in Montreal, University of Regina, and finally the University of Calgary.
Angela Morgan’s work celebrates humanity through the use of colour, pattern, and line. Her human figures express the poses of life; the jubilation of dance, the contemplation of parenthood, and the melancholy of summer’s end. Colours fuse and meld to achieve gesture, transforming abstract images into living moments.
Angela is represented in galleries across Canada, Widen, Switzerland and Dublin, Ireland. Locally, Angela can be found at her working studio in historic downtown Fernie.
