Instructor: Holly McWilliams Sick of mixing huge vats of the wrong color? Tired of spending most of your time mixing smurge on the palette instead of putting fresh colour on to the canvas? Applied color mixing to the rescue!!!! This 2-day class goes through some of the basics that will develop a foundation of color awareness and stop you from struggling. Open to oil, acrylic and watercolor.
$110+gst*Supplies not included This class is open to the medium that you are working with already. Please bring all of the supplies, brushes and paints that you work with and find handy to have while you are creating. Below are a few things that we will defiantly be using.
Paint Cadmium Yellow medium Lemon yellow (hansa will work as well) Cadmium Red medium Quinacradone rose (or red) Ultramarine blue Manganese blue (cerulean or pthalo blue can work) Transparent red oxide Titanium white Extra's that are handy to have but not necessary for this course: Yellow ochre Cadmium orange Manganese violet or dioxanine purple Mediums and turps: Oil - No hardware store turps please! They are very toxic and tend to give people bad headaches, even if they say no odour. -Eco house turpentine for oils Acrylic - Gloss medium and varnish and or a retarder Brushes: please bring the brushes you already have.
