Service Description

Date & Time: March 21, 2025, 6:00 - 8:00 pm (Demo Night) March 22, 2025, 9:30 - 4:00 pm March 23, 2025, 9:30 - 4:00 pm Medium: Watercolour Level: Strong Beginner - Advanced Welcome Instructor: Rich Williams Join Rich Williams and explore the possibilities of watercolour like you have not seen before. Take what you know about watercolour and then take a leap and learn many other unexpected possibilities exist. Approaching colour and using expected pigments as well as greys produce clear and bright watercolour that are not muddy. Learn creative ways to use watercolours properties with brushes and other non conventional tools to expand your work into new and exciting paintings. You will be asked to do several mini projects each covering a different technique by doing a mini demo. Rich will provide examples and encourage each student to try it for themselves. Then using what you have learned complete a painting. About Rich Williams: From a very early age I was interested in art. Studying art in high school only tweaked my interest more. After highschool I attended S.A.I.T., taking first year Architectural Technology where I learned perspective drawing. Later I attended the Alberta College of Art where he took lessons in Figure Drawing. Understanding the need to improve my technique with all mediums I began taking many workshops from established artists to improve his style and master principles of design. Supply list. Bring your usual watercolour supplies along with a couple of small pallet knives and a selection of grey pigments. I have 6 colours in a separate pallet box that I use along with my other paints.
